Microsoft Security Essentials Remove Taskbar Icon
The only computer I have that still has MSE on it, and with which I can tinker, is a Windows XP one. Microsoft Security Essentials icon is set to "Show Icon and Notifications" and now it appears in the task tray.BTW, Donna, I uninstalled Comodo Internet Security, Avast Antivirus and Thunderbird. Then on the default tab (Task bar) under the notification area section you can select "Customize" and choose the icons you want to hide.
