Samba Failed To Connect To Ipc$ Share On Localhost
After a few more frustrating hours I tried a clear install of FC4 and documented each of the steps I took and my smb.conf so hopefully someone can point out where I do have security set to share and my host file shows127.0.0.1 localhostand imhosts shows this127.0.0.1 localhostmy last testparm:Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.confProcessing section "[homes]"Processing section "[public]"Processing section "[public2]"Loaded services file The resulting system provides an easy to manage domaincontroller for your Windows network. Go through the same process (short of reinstalling fedora...) and see what happens. I have used it for years with ClarkConnect, but never got any deeper than setting things up through Webconfig. This is not recommended unless for some reason you cannot use one of the other methods just discussed.
