This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. We've checked in with our remote offices throughout the day and no one has reported any disconnect/reconnect problems with Outlook. I understand that upgrading everyone may not be an option due to monetary constraints but in my opinion it is, without a doubt, the solution to this problem. Connection To Microsoft Exchange Has Been Lost. Outlook Will Restore The Connection When Possible. Does Exchange 2010 handle MAPI traffic differently?
The message shows that the client is dropping off from the exchange server....then immediatlely comes back on. We haven’t made any changes and we have synchronous 10Mbps connections at all locations. I have checked for logs on the client and Exchange server and can not see any reason for the disconnect, On the Client I get EventId 26 telling me Outlook has x 7 EventID.Net This may indicate network connectivity problems (slow network, bad cable, faulty routers) or a slow Exchange server.

I'll keep you all posted on this matter. The sites are connected with ISA 2004 with no protocol restrictions. Outlook 2007/2010 use bandwidth a lot more efficiently.
